Here, it's all about games. The medium's reproduction device, the video player, is used as an instrument. This instrumental playing—imitating the recorded image—questions the images produced by the “guntube” and their media nature. Like players in a video game, these men play with their collections of killing machines, mostly weapons of war. Disguised as an openly accessible spectacle, this game is not just staged, it's networked.

Desktopsongs is a series of video pieces using a hybrid language, combining music, images, and digital interfaces. Inspired by the practice of desktop movie, these pieces are presented as computer songs. They are short forms, established according to a unilateral and satirical system, allowing the questioning of our relationship with contemporary technologies.
