Nightscape (2024)
“ At night, a group of photographers become the landscape they observe. “
There's not much to see in this work, although the visible is its main theme. Playing with darkness and the “acousmatic” listening situation (where, for the listener, the sound source is invisible), the spectator finds himself caught up in a game of points of view. Photographers observe, and in so doing, their luminous presence forms an imaginary nocturnal landscape. The sound of their mechanical flashes seems to imitate the nocturnal fauna being observed. Clearly, the continuation of this strange choreography confirms the hypothesis that the object of the gaze has been turned upside down:
“ At night, a group of photographers become the landscape they observe “.
